Product description

deuter Freescape Pro - highly functional and durable multi-day touring backpack for ski mountaineers and ski tourers.

An all-rounder for ambitious ski mountaineers, the Freescape Pro is designed for technically demanding multi-day tours. The well ventilated, secure fit offers high wearing comfort, the hinged back opening quick access to the equipment. At the same time, skis, snowboard or crampons can remain fixed on the outside thanks to the variable fastening straps. The separate safety compartment for probe and shovel is immediately accessible in case of emergency. In addition, the durable, PFC-free backpack is made of 100% recycled material, the main material is also bluesign(R) certified.

DEUTER ALPINE
DEUTER ALPINE:

For backpacks for alpine use, it is crucial to coordinate wearing comfort, durability and function in a weight-optimized way. The Alpine System is the answer to this challenge. Its two Softstripe pads flexibly hug the back with every movement. In conjunction with the slim pack sack, the load is always kept close to the body's center of gravity. This guarantees full control over the backpack. THE RESULT: The Alpine System combines a light, secure fit for concentrated action in difficult terrain with maximum comfort and pleasant ventilation between the two Softstripe back pads.

Made without PFAS
Made without PFAS:

euter has completely dispensed with PFAS in production since mid-2019. This is because the effect of these chemicals, which are actually very useful, is extremely harmful to the environment. Treated products such as clothing, cookware or paper coatings release perfluorinated and polyfluorinated particles during production, use and disposal. Once they are released into the environment, they spread quickly and widely in nature through wind and water. Research has detected PFAS chemicals even in remote areas of the Himalayas and Antarctica. In soil and drinking water as well as in the blood or breast milk of humans and animals, even in the bodies of Arctic polar bears. As they are particularly long-lived and non-recoverable, they continue to accumulate. This is why they are also referred to as “eternal chemicals”.

The fact that deuter has been able to do without PFAS since mid-2019 is thanks to an environmentally friendly, biodegradable impregnation. It effectively repels water, coffee and other common liquids and is ideal for high-performance outdoor and outerwear fabrics. The new finish consists of 60% renewable raw materials from various plant-based, non-genetically modified sources. No plant-based components from food production are used. This makes deuter's alternative to PFAS compliant with the regulations of the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) and is bluesign® approved.
