A highlight is the combinded use from phenol sidewalls and the carbon band in a high complex construction. The phenol sidewall give the ski an unpresedented smoothness and edge precision. The carbon band from tip to tail in the center of the ski helps in the other direction and make the ski more lively and dynamicly. This material combination is responsible what pure calmness and highest dynamic isn't longer a contradiction. Additionally to the Carbon Band this ski is for sure equipped with the taylored carbon tips. A new positioning and length dimension of the carbon fibers in the tip gives the ski an even more direct tip answer and a faster bending and energy build up process in the first part of the ski. This allows the world cup ash woodcore to demonstrate even more of its qualities as energy store and dynamic booster. As the ski bends at the entrance to the curve, the fibers stretch, absorb the tension energy and store it. At the exit of the curve, this collected energy is then released in a controlled manner, giving the ski enormous dynamics. High-performance racing with GripWalk comfort. The high-performance binding for ambitious on-piste skiers is now also suitable for GripWalk soles. This enables the greatest possible walking comfort, easy step-in, and excellent grip in the binding. The Comp 16 GW black is manufactured exclusively with the highest quality components. The one-part Comp toe piece features magnesium components as well as error-forgiving absorbers underneath. The Comp absorber reliably absorbs short, hard shocks and permanently centres the ski boot in the binding.
The high-quality core made of solid ash, which extends over the entire length of the ski, is a technical highlight that has great impact on the skiing characteristics. The particularly elastic hardwood is being used in our racing skis for World Cup athletes and even the Master models and acts as an energy accumulator: while the ski flexes when initiating the turn, the fibers stretch and absorb the tension energy. At the exit of the turn, this accumulated energy is released, giving the ski a lively feel. Due to the specific suppleness of ash wood, the ski also adapts optimally to the surface. This results in the greatest possible stability and reliability, which makes the ski particularly smooth.
Direct and strong powertransmission with full length sidewalls.
In this innovative manufacturing process the new Tailored Carbon Tips are produced by embroidering the individual carbon fibers onto a carrier material. The stiffness, torsion and thus the skiing characteristics can be specifically adjusted via the fiber thickness and millimeter-precise alignment. In this way, the fibers guide the dynamics to the areas of the ski where they are needed. The visibly integrated Tailored Carbon Tips are light, allow an agile shovel reaction with less effort and quickly build up energy. The Tailored Carbon Tips thus reach a new level of precision, direct tip response and active skiing pleasure.
Compared to classic glass constructions the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the tip and in the tail area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.

Only bends upwards in the shovel area, while the middle and tail of the ski feature a camber shape. The Völkl rocker construction is directly integrated into the production cycle, so the rocker shape doesn’t need to be bent afterwards, which makes the matching between the rocker and the other components much more harmonized and precise:
A sintered, ultra-high molecular polyethylene base with an extremely high density. Besides a great wear resistance and perfect wax absorption the P-Tex 4504 is extremely fast and exclusively used on the top of the Völkl line and race models. The material has been upgraded with special additives to make it thermal and electro-conductive and proves its qualities with premium glide and maximum speed in races.
